Hello, hello!
A while back I posted the model of this in my sketch thread: http://www.zbrushcentral.com/showthread.php?t=73364 Now I finally had some time doing some textures and a proper render: I could go on forever tweaking but I feel I need to get my eyes off it and start something new so there it is . For later I planned to do at least some shapes and make him look around though. Maybe after a little break! The rendering is done in MR (Maya), I used 3 area lights from the front and 2 back lights for the rims. I also used FG but the effect is really subtle. Some color editing and post-effects (grain etc) I did in PS. Everything is using displacement except the collar, I was too lazy and brought in the reduced mesh.. :P Hope you like! Seb |

Great! I like the painterly feel of the render.

Just five stars from me, a top row stuff.
This is a portrait. Wow! I could suggest some darker (aged) color on teeth, maybe, nothing curious. |

Great work sheb ! His eyes really bring him to life. My only crit is that his teeth look kind off in the render. Not that there is anything wrong with the model but they just look out of place. Maybe you could tweak the material a bit ? Awesome work. 5*

Nice job there...
I like the contrast between the wet lusterous feel around the eyes, and lips, and the drier dead feel in the rest of the skin, and also the feel of the underlying bone structure throughout.. ![]() |

This is real good. The wetness of the eyes, combined with the facial expression gives this character life. Somewhat subtle (not over-done) and very efficient expression. Nice job.

Thanks everybody for the kind words!! That makes up the effort
![]() The thing with the teeth .. yes - I think the problem is that the black next to them is very black and it makes them stand out even more. Personally I didn't mind it so much which makes me think maybe I have to calibrate my monitor!! |
